Privacy Policy
Written to be understood — what we collect from humeband.us, why it's needed, and what control stays with you.
Last updated: July 2026
Because this involves biomarker data — not just a name and address — we've written this to be readable rather than a wall of legal language. Here's what Hume Health Corp collects through humeband.us and the Hume Health app, what it's used for, and how much of it you control.
1. Categories Of Data Collected
Provided directly by you
- Purchase and registration information — name, email address, shipping address, payment method.
- Any context you share when contacting our support team.
Collected automatically via hardware and app
- Raw sensor readings — heart rate, HRV, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep stages, movement — the underlying inputs for app features like Metabolic Momentum and biological age.
- Technical usage data — device model, app version, and broad usage patterns used for troubleshooting and performance improvements.
2. How That Data Is Used
- Translating raw biomarker data into the readable trends shown in the app.
- Processing your order, coordinating shipping, and handling returns or warranty requests.
- Responding to support inquiries.
- Improving sensor calibration and algorithms — typically using anonymized or aggregated data rather than anything individually identifiable.
- Sending order-related updates, and occasional product news to those who have opted in.
3. What The Hume Band Captures Belongs To You
Nothing recorded by the Hume Band becomes our property — it's yours from the moment it's generated. Your full data history is exportable from the Hume Health app at any time. If you want everything deleted, a request to support typically completes within 30 days, except for certain records (such as order history) that legal requirements oblige us to retain.
4. When Data Leaves Our Systems
We do not sell health information — not now, and not under any future scenario. Data is only shared in a small number of specific situations:
- Service providers who operate infrastructure we rely on — payment processors, shipping partners, cloud services — each contractually limited to using your data only for their designated role.
- Legal obligations, when a court order or regulatory authority leaves no alternative.
- Business transitions — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale — with these same privacy commitments carrying through to any successor.
5. How Stored Data Is Protected
Encryption covers all data whether it's at rest or in transit, in line with current industry standards. Internal access is limited to staff with an operational need. No system is perfectly impenetrable, but we hold ourselves to a higher standard given the sensitivity of what's involved.
6. Cookies On humeband.us
humeband.us uses cookies to save preferences, maintain your session, and give us a general picture of how the site is used so we can keep improving it. Browser settings are where you manage or block these — though disabling them entirely may affect some site functionality.
7. Your Rights Over Your Data
Depending on your location, you may be entitled to view, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Marketing emails always include a one-click unsubscribe. Contact us using the details below to act on any of these rights.
8. Children Are Not Our Audience
The Hume Band and its app are not designed for children under 13, and we don't seek to collect their data. If you believe a child's data has been collected, let us know and we'll remove it promptly.
9. Users Outside The US
Accessing our Services from a country other than where our servers are located may involve your data crossing borders as part of standard processing. Wherever it travels, we apply the same standards described in this Policy.
10. How This Policy Is Updated
We revise this page from time to time, and every change advances the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes receive a more visible notice — an email or in-app alert — rather than just a quiet edit to this page.
