What is this wristband actually designed to do?
Rather than chasing fitness metrics, the Hume Band is engineered around monitoring healthspan — the length and quality of your active life. It keeps a continuous eye on biological age, metabolic momentum, blood pressure trends, HRV, blood oxygen (SpO2), sleep stages, and skin temperature, powered by a battery that lasts up to 14 days.
Does my phone need to be nearby all day?
No. The Hume Band records and stores everything on the device itself. Your phone just needs to come within Bluetooth range periodically so the free Hume Health app (iOS and Android) can sync and display what's been gathered. Days of data wait quietly on the band until that sync happens.
What happens when it gets wet?
Nothing to worry about — it holds an IP68 rating, meaning it's dustproof and designed to survive being submerged at 1 meter for up to 2 hours. Showers, pool sessions, and hard workouts all fall well within what it's built to handle.
How accurate is the health tracking?
Five LEDs and 4 photodiodes sample signals more frequently than most comparable wearables, with accuracy verified both in-house and through independent lab testing. Fit matters — wearing it snugly, roughly a finger's width above the wrist bone, produces the cleanest and most consistent readings.
